What is a Japanese Mini Truck?
"Mini trucks" are small, two seat utility trucks that are used throughout Japan for all sorts of applications. From farming to delivery trucks, mobile merchandise stands, to hauling construction equipment, and also doubling as a family vehicle. Also known as the "K Truck" or "Kei" short for the Japanese "Keitora", they are powered by liquid cooled two to four cylinder 550cc or 660cc engines. These trucks have been engineered to provide years of heavy-duty service and are a common site everywhere in Japan. Japanese mini-trucks come in both 2 and 4 wheel drive. As one can see from the pictures, mini-trucks come in different configurations to meet specific job requirements. |

About Japanese Mini Trucks.
"Mini trucks" are a fuel efficient, cost effective solution to full size trucks and expensive ATV's for work, or play. Most mini-trucks are imported under federal law as "Non-Road Vehicles" and are limited in speed to 25 mph. Currently Japanese mini-trucks must meet EPA testing standards for "Non-Road Vehicles." There is at least one source that is importing Japanese mini-trucks and mini-vans as Low speed vehicles and medium speed vehicles that can be used on roads in most States with some restrictions. Japanese mini-trucks are primarily imported in the 4x4 version, but 2 wheel drive versions are available. We stock the parts you need to customize, and maintain you Japanese mini-truck! |
